This piece is entirely imaginative, inspired by circular patterns. Circles relate yet don’t touch, and the negative space between them forms its own meaning. I painted two figures who mirror this idea who are focused on their task, connected yet apart. The laundromat’s machines echo the same larger-than-life circular motif, and I continued the theme in their clothing.
